Reaching more skiers in 2014/15


Skiworld is one of the UK’s leading ski operators, offering ski holidays including catered chalet holidays in Europe and North America.


We were tasked with improving the organic visibility of the Skiworld website during the 2013-14 ski season, focusing on a range of keywords around chalets and ski holidays in France, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and USA.


Our strategy was based on getting the basics right, and developing a really solid, process driven SEO campaign for our client really well. All our actions were informed by best practice and every step was meticulously executed with Skiworld’s objectives front of mind. Our SEO team performed in-depth keyword research, undertook gap analysis, and made technical modifications to the websites’ code and structure.

We optimised page titles and meta descriptions, added keywords to the home page tab, and optimised the content on all the ski chalet, ski resorts, ski deals and country pages. Our full technical audit highlighted a range of issues, and we made recommendations to resolve these. Finally, our content team targeted a range of very relevant influencers and bloggers, driving awareness and helping Skiworld to earn a significant number of natural and authoritative links.


During the ski season we increased natural search traffic by 42%, increased the number of users by 56% and increased the number of page views by 37%. 63% of transactions were made by users who arrived at the site via natural search.
